This article explains how refunds work for employer listings and credits on WorkCampConnect. We aim for a fair, simple policy that protects both you and us.
Listing credits are non-refundable once purchased
When you purchase listing credits — whether a single credit or a multi-pack — those credits are non-refundable. We treat each credit as redeemable platform value, not a refundable transaction. You're paying for the right to post a listing whenever you're ready.
However, credits never expire. There's no time pressure. Buy them when convenient, use them whenever you need to hire — even months later.
Automatic refunds for rejected listings
If a listing is rejected during our 1-2 business day review process, the credit is automatically refunded to your balance. You'll receive an email explaining what needs to change. You can edit the listing and resubmit at no additional cost.
Listings are typically rejected for issues like:
- Missing required information (compensation details, location, contact method)
- Vague or misleading job descriptions
- Postings that aren't a fit for the work-camping audience
- Duplicates of existing listings on your account
Most rejected listings are approved on resubmission within a day or two.
Withdrawn listings before publication
If you submit a listing and then withdraw it before our reviewers approve it, the credit is returned to your balance automatically. You can withdraw from "My Jobs" while the status is still "Pending Review."
What ISN'T eligible for a refund
- Credits you've used to publish a listing (the listing is live and reaching members)
- Credits used on listings you later decide to remove (the listing was published)
- Credits you bought but haven't used yet (they don't expire — use when ready)
- Multi-pack discounts when you only used some of the credits
How to request a refund
For unusual situations not covered above (technical errors, accidental duplicate purchases, billing mistakes), contact our employer support team. We review each request individually and will let you know within 1 business day what we can do.
Please include in your request:
- Your company name and account email
- The date and amount of the purchase
- The specific reason you're requesting a refund
- The listing(s) involved, if applicable
Square charges and disputes
All payments on WorkCampConnect are processed by Square. If you believe a charge was unauthorized, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a chargeback. Filing a chargeback before contacting us results in your account being frozen until the dispute clears, which delays future hiring.
