Terms of Service
Last updated: April 23, 2026
By creating an account on WorkCampConnect ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not register or use the Platform.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use WorkCampConnect. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
For household accounts (Couple or Crew / Family), every adult listed on the account must be at least 16 years of age. The primary account holder confirms this on behalf of every additional adult at registration and whenever a new adult is added later.
Children under 16 may be listed in the optional Household Children feature (first name and age range only, no photos, never on any public surface). See the Privacy Policy, Section 14 for our full commitments regarding children's information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Household Accounts
WorkCampConnect supports three account types: Solo (one adult), Couple (two adults sharing one login), and Crew / Family (three to six adults sharing one login). You can convert between account types from your Account Settings dashboard at any time; the price stays the same across all tiers.
On a household account, one adult is the primary account holder. The primary:
- Accepts these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy on behalf of every adult listed on the account;
- Is the legal account owner for billing, contact, and support purposes;
- Confirms that every additional adult on the account is 16 or older and has agreed to be listed;
- Is responsible for all activity on the account regardless of which household adult performs it.
All adults on a household account share one login, one membership, one public profile, one forum handle, and one resume. Additional adults may optionally add their own email to receive account notifications; an email must be verified via a one-click link before it receives any communications. Removing an adult from the account is immediate and permanent; verified emails receive a one-time courtesy security notice on removal.
Username Policy
During registration you will choose a username that serves as your public identity within the WorkCampConnect community. Every account is allowed one username change for the lifetime of the account. After the allowance is used, the username is permanent.
When a username is changed, the old handle is held in reserve for 90 days before anyone else can register it, preventing immediate impersonation.
Usernames and the first and last names provided during registration are automatically screened for appropriateness. The following are not permitted:
- Profane, vulgar, obscene, or sexually explicit language
- Impersonation of WorkCampConnect staff, administrators, moderators, or any official role
- Use of reserved platform terms (e.g., "admin," "support," "wcc," "moderator")
- Attempts to bypass screening through character substitution (e.g., replacing letters with numbers or symbols)
WorkCampConnect reserves the right to reject any username during registration and to suspend or terminate accounts with names that violate these guidelines. For questions about username policies, please visit our Username & Display Name Rules help article or contact support.
WorkCampConnect offers two membership tiers:
Base Camp — Free membership that includes access to the community forum, member map, job board, and resource portal with the following limitations:
- Job board: limited to 6 job listing views per day. Premium job listings are not accessible.
- Community forum: read access to all boards. Posting rights limited to Introductions, General Discussion, and New to RV Living boards only.
- Member map: view all public member pins. Pin placement limited to state level precision only, public visibility only, and 30 day expiry only.
- Resources section: access to 3 personal trackers with a maximum of 25 entries per tracker. Document library limited to General RV Living Resources and Job Searching and Work Camp Tips categories. Exports and downloads not available. Quick Notes limited to one note at 500 characters.
Full Hookup — Paid membership that includes everything in Base Camp plus:
- Job board: unlimited job listing views and full access to all premium listings.
- Community forum: full posting rights in all 14 boards including Work Camping and Gate Guarding.
- Member map: full pin placement with city, state, or exact precision, public or private visibility, and expiry options up to never.
- Resources section: all 9 personal trackers with unlimited entries, full document library access, complete export options including PDF, Word, Excel, and email, unlimited named notes at 5000 characters each, and optional Two Factor Authentication.
Paid memberships are billed monthly at $8.95 per month or annually at $89.50 per year according to the plan selected at the time of upgrade. All payments are processed securely through Square.
The membership price is the same for every account type — Solo, Couple, or Crew / Family. A household account pays one membership price; every adult listed on the account shares that one membership. Adding, removing, or converting between account types does not change what you pay.
Reactivation Policy
New members sign up directly to the free Base Camp tier and can upgrade to Full Hookup at any time. There is no trial; Full Hookup is a paid subscription billed at signup.
Members who deactivate or delete their account while on Base Camp may register again with the same email address or phone number, but must select a Monthly or Yearly paid plan at the time of re-registration. This policy does not apply to members who previously held a paid Full Hookup subscription — they may return on the free Base Camp tier at any time.
WorkCampConnect identifies prior deactivation matches based on email address and, where applicable, phone number. In the event of a legitimate reason to waive this restriction, members may contact support to request an administrative override at WorkCampConnect's sole discretion.
Refund Policy
Monthly memberships are non-refundable. You may cancel your monthly membership at any time and you will retain Full Hookup access through the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days in a monthly billing cycle.
Annual memberships may be refunded in full within 30 days of the original purchase date. After 30 days annual memberships are eligible for a prorated refund for any unused complete months remaining in your subscription period. No refund is issued for the current partial month at the time of cancellation.
All refund requests must be submitted through the Help Center support ticket system using the Billing and Membership department. Refund requests are reviewed and processed within 3 business days. All approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Square.
WorkCampConnect reserves the right to deny refund requests that do not meet the criteria above or where abuse of the refund policy is suspected.
You agree not to post content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise harmful. This includes your username and display name, which must comply with the Username Policy described in Section 3. WorkCampConnect reserves the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards. Please review our Community Rules & Guidelines for community-specific guidelines.
Violations of community standards may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination as outlined in Section 12 of these Terms.
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant WorkCampConnect a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the Platform. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your posts.
WorkCampConnect aggregates job listings as a community resource. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or legitimacy of any listing. Always exercise due diligence before accepting any work arrangement.
The WorkCampConnect Employer Portal allows campgrounds, RV parks, resorts, ranches, and other seasonal businesses to post job listings and receive applications from work campers. By creating an employer account, you agree to the following:
Registration & Account
- Employer accounts are separate from member accounts and require a separate registration at /employers/.
- You must provide accurate company information including your legal business name, email address, and location.
- You are responsible for all activity conducted under your employer account.
Listing Credits & Payments
- Job listings are purchased using listing credits. Each listing consumes one credit and remains active for 30 days from the date of approval.
- Credits are sold in packs at published prices and are non-refundable once purchased, except as described below.
- Credits never expire and remain available in your account until used.
- All payments are processed securely through Square. WorkCampConnect never stores your full card number or CVV.
- You may optionally save a card on file through Square for future purchases and auto-renewal.
Job Listings & Review
- All new job listings are subject to review by WorkCampConnect staff before being published. We typically review listings within 1–2 business days.
- WorkCampConnect reserves the right to reject any listing that contains misleading information, discriminatory language, illegal activity, or content that does not meet our community standards.
- If a listing is rejected during review, the credit used to post it is automatically refunded to your account balance.
- Renewed listings (extending an existing approved listing for another 30 days) skip the review queue and are approved automatically.
Auto-Renewal
- You may enable auto-renewal on individual listings. When enabled, the listing will automatically renew for another 30 days when it expires.
- Auto-renewal first uses your available credit balance. If no credits are available and you have a card on file, a single credit will be purchased at the Starter Pack rate.
- Auto-renewal is disabled by default. You can turn it on or off at any time from your listing management page.
Content & Accuracy
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all information in your job listings, company profile, and communications with applicants.
- You may not post listings for positions that do not exist, misrepresent compensation or working conditions, or otherwise deceive applicants.
- WorkCampConnect is not a party to any employment agreement between employers and work campers. We facilitate connections only.
Suspension & Termination
WorkCampConnect reserves the right to suspend or terminate any employer account for violations of these Terms, including fraudulent listings, misuse of the platform, or complaints from applicants. Suspended accounts forfeit any remaining listing credits. Active listings from terminated accounts are immediately removed from the job board.
A valid mobile phone number is required to register for a WorkCampConnect account. SMS text messaging is used for account verification and login, and is powered by Twilio.
By providing your phone number, you agree to:
- Receive automated 6-digit verification codes via SMS when you register, log in with "Log in with text message", or change your phone number
- Receive security alert texts for unusual account activity (opt-in required)
- Receive new-job alerts matching your saved search criteria (opt-in required)
Message frequency and types:
- Verification codes: sent only when you request them (registration, login, or phone number change). Typically 1–2 messages per session.
- Security Alerts: infrequent, only sent when unusual account activity is detected. Opt-in only.
- Job Alerts: opt-in only. Members configure saved searches in their dashboard, and the system sends an SMS digest when new jobs match. Frequency varies; up to one SMS per day per saved search. You can opt out at any time.
Your rights and obligations:
- A valid phone number is required for registration and cannot be removed from an active account. If you no longer wish to have your phone number on file, you may close your account at any time.
- You may change your phone number at any time in Account Settings — the new number will be verified via SMS before it replaces the old one.
- Verification codes are TCPA-exempt (transactional, not marketing)
- You may opt out of non-transactional SMS (such as Security Alerts and Job Alerts) at any time in Account Settings, or by replying STOP to any alert text. Reply HELP to any SMS for support information. Opting out does not affect required verification messages.
- We will never sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties (Twilio handles delivery only)
Standard carrier message and data rates may apply. For full SMS program details, opt-in flow screenshots, and sample messages, see our SMS Program Terms page. For questions, please contact our support team. See our Privacy Policy (Section 6) for additional details about how your phone number is handled.
The personal records tools in the Resources section are provided for your convenience and personal organization only. WorkCampConnect is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of information you enter into any tracker or record.
The Resources section does not constitute professional tax, financial, legal, or accounting advice. You are solely responsible for verifying all information before using it for any tax filing, legal proceeding, or financial decision. Always consult a qualified professional for tax and legal guidance.
If you downgrade from Full Hookup to Base Camp or cancel your paid membership your personal records and tracker data stored in the Resources section will be retained and remain accessible subject to Base Camp tier limitations. Data is never deleted as a result of a plan change or cancellation. If you delete your account your data will be removed within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
WorkCampConnect reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate any account at its sole discretion for conduct that violates these Terms, including but not limited to:
- Harassment, bullying, or threatening behavior toward other members
- Posting obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or illegal content
- Spam, solicitation, or commercial misuse of the platform
- Impersonation or fraudulent activity
- Circumventing platform restrictions or security measures
- Repeated violations of our Community Rules & Guidelines
This applies to all members regardless of membership tier, including paid Full Hookup subscribers and Founding Members with lifetime benefits. Founding Member lifetime benefits and all paid subscription benefits are contingent on continued compliance with these Terms of Service.
Unverified accounts: If you register for an account but do not verify your email address within 15 days, your account will be automatically expired. You will receive reminder emails at 48 hours and 96 hours after registration. Expired accounts can be reactivated by registering again with the same email address.
Terminated accounts are not entitled to refunds for any remaining paid subscription period. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.
You may not access WorkCampConnect or any of its content through automated means, including but not limited to:
- Bots, crawlers, spiders, scrapers, or any automated software or scripts
- Programmatic access to retrieve, index, harvest, or reproduce job listings, member data, forum content, or any other platform content
- Bulk downloading, systematic copying, or mirroring of any portion of the Platform
- Using automated tools to create accounts, submit forms, or interact with the Platform
Exceptions: Standard search engine crawlers (e.g., Googlebot, Bingbot) that comply with our robots.txt directives are permitted. RSS readers accessing designated feeds, if any, are permitted.
Job board content — including job titles, descriptions, company information, compensation details, and application instructions — is proprietary to WorkCampConnect and its employer partners. Unauthorized reproduction, republication, or commercial use of job listing data is strictly prohibited.
Any violation of this section may result in immediate account termination, IP blocking, and legal action including but not limited to claims under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and applicable state laws. WorkCampConnect reserves the right to pursue statutory and actual damages for unauthorized scraping or data harvesting.
WorkCampConnect is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
The WorkCamp Marketplace at marketplace.workcampconnect.com is a separate platform with its own Terms of Service and rules. Your conduct on the marketplace is governed by those marketplace terms in addition to these. Disputes arising from marketplace transactions between members are between those members; WorkCampConnect facilitates the marketplace but is not a party to peer-to-peer transactions.
