Overview North Gorge is a small, but popular, campground at the northeast edge of the park. A few sites are large enough for an RV, but most are built for tent camping. The campground is set in a grove of pines on the edge of the lake. A boat launch and dock are on the north or right side of the main loop. In the summer, North Gorge is busy on the weekends. Recreation The small boat launch provides access to the lake. Boating, fishing, swimming and water skiing are activities that can easily take place from the campground. Campers might also enjoy relaxing and taking in the beautiful view. Facilities North Gorge is a reservation only campground with 11 sites. It can be reserved year round. However, the sites are not plowed in the winter time. There are picnic tables and campfire rings. Natural Features Lake side campground in a beautiful pine forest. Nearby Attractions The historic St. Paul's Mission, which is run by the National Park Service, is located about 18.8 south of the campground in the town of Kettle Falls. Also in the area are Fort Colville and the Hudson Bay Company Post on the Upper Columbia. St. Paul's Mission. Sherman drive, a scenic loop, is nearby. Charges & Cancellations All changes and cancellations need to be made through recreation.gov Late Cancellations or Cancellations within the Cut-off Window Individual Campsites: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee.
