New members get a 7-day free trial of Full Hookup features when they register. During the trial, you can explore everything — unlimited job views, map pin placement, portal downloads, exclusive forum boards, and more. When the trial ends, you can subscribe to keep Full Hookup or continue on the free Base Camp plan with no obligation.

Base Camp (Free) gives you access to general forum discussions, map and portal browsing, limited job views (3 per day), and the Help Center.

Trail Guide is our AI-powered assistant in the Help Center. It can answer questions about the platform, work camping tips, and more. If Trail Guide can't answer your question, it will suggest contacting support.

Your 7-day free trial won't start until you verify your email. We'll send you reminders at 48 hours and 96 hours after registration. If you still haven't verified after 15 days, your account will be automatically expired. You can always register again with the same email to get a fresh start.

No. Each person should have one WorkCampConnect account. If you accidentally created a second account, contact support and we can help you consolidate.

Click the Forgot Password link on the login page. Enter your email address and we'll send you a password reset link. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.

No. Your username is permanent and cannot be changed after registration. This applies to both your WorkCampConnect account and your forum identity. If you need to update how your name appears, you can edit your display name from your account profile settings.

Yes. Go to My Account > Settings in your dashboard to update the email address associated with your account. Your email must be unique across the platform.

Go to My Account > Profile and click Choose Photo. A crop tool will open where you can position and zoom your photo. Supported formats are JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP (max 5 MB).

To delete your account, contact our support team. Your personal information will be removed within 30 days. Forum posts may be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve community discussions.

We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) processed securely through Square. WorkCampConnect never stores your full card number.

Cancellation is fully self-service. Go to My Account > Billing and use the Cancel Subscription button. It's instant — no phone calls or emails required. Your Full Hookup access continues until the end of your current billing period.

We offer a 3-day refund policy from the date of your most recent charge. To request a refund, contact support within 3 days of being charged. See our full refund policy for details.

If you'd like to switch your billing cycle, contact support and we'll help you make the change. Switching to yearly saves you $17.90 per year compared to monthly billing.

Founding Members are early supporters who received a free lifetime Full Hookup membership by invitation. Founding Member status is invite-only and includes a special badge displayed across the platform. It cannot be purchased or applied for.

Your forum account is created automatically when you register on WorkCampConnect. Click Community Forum in your dashboard sidebar to get started. Use the same email and password you use for your WorkCampConnect account.

Some discussion boards are exclusive to Full Hookup members. If you're on the Base Camp (free) plan, you'll have access to general discussion boards but not premium or member-only boards. Upgrade to Full Hookup to unlock all boards.

Yes, the forum includes a built-in personal messaging system. You can send private messages to other forum members directly. Look for the Messages or Inbox link in the forum's top menu.

Camp Helper is our AI-powered forum bot. It can answer work camping questions, provide tips, and help with platform-related queries right in the forum. Mention @Camp Helper in a post or thread and it will respond with helpful information.

Base Camp members can browse the map and see where other members have placed their pins. However, placing your own pin, viewing pin details, and all interactive features require a Full Hookup membership.

Only if you choose the Exact precision level. By default, we recommend using City precision, which shows your general city area without revealing your specific address or campground. You can also use State for even less specificity, or Private to hide your pin from everyone.

No. The map does not track your location in real time. You manually set your pin location each time you want to update it. This gives you full control over when and where you appear on the map.

Points of Interest (POI) layers let you overlay useful locations on the map — like fuel stations, campgrounds, dump stations, rest areas, and Walmart locations. Toggle them on and off to see what's nearby wherever you're traveling.

Base Camp (free) members can view up to 3 job details per day. This resets every 24 hours. To get unlimited access, upgrade to Full Hookup.

Jobs marked Premium are exclusive listings available only to Full Hookup members. These are typically high-quality positions with competitive compensation and benefits.

Click on a job listing to view the full details, then follow the application instructions provided by the employer. Applications are submitted directly to the employer — WorkCampConnect connects you with the opportunity, but the hiring process is managed by the employer. Browse the job board to get started.

Jobs come from two sources: employers submit listings directly through our submission form, and our team also imports opportunities from trusted work camping job sources to keep the board up to date.

No. Base Camp members can browse the portal and see what's available, but downloading files requires a Full Hookup membership. Learn how to upgrade.

No. Full Hookup members can download as many resources as they need with no daily or monthly limits.

Yes! Full Hookup members can bookmark any resource to save it for later, and rate resources to help the community find the best content. Your bookmarked items are available in your personal library.

Absolutely! If you have a suggestion for a resource that would be helpful to the community, contact support and let us know. We're always looking to expand the library.

You can reach us two ways: through the Help Center contact form or by submitting a ticket from your Dashboard. Full Hookup members receive priority support.

Support tickets are monitored regularly. We aim to respond within 1 business day. Urgent and high-priority tickets are often addressed much faster.

WorkCampConnect works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The platform is fully responsive — no app download required.

Yes. All connections use SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes — we cannot read them. Payment processing is handled by Square, a PCI-compliant processor. We never store your full card number. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
