You can cancel an individual listing or close your employer account at any time. Here's how each works and what happens to your credits.
Canceling a single active listing
If a position is filled or no longer available, you can take down the listing without canceling your account:
- Sign in to your dashboard at /employers/dashboard/.
- Click My Listings in the sidebar.
- Find the listing and click the Actions menu.
- Choose Mark as Filled (preferred) or Pause Listing.
Mark as Filled vs. Pause
Mark as Filled closes the listing and shows applicants a message that the position has been filled. Members already in your applicant inbox aren't affected — you can still respond to them.
Pause Listing hides the listing from public view but keeps it editable. Useful if you want to step back briefly (a few days while you process applicants) and reactivate it later. The 30-day clock continues running while paused.
Credits and cancellation
Once a listing is published, the credit has been redeemed — taking the listing down does not return the credit (see refund policy). Plan ahead and only post when you're ready to receive applications.
Closing your employer account
If you no longer need the platform — for example, you've sold your campground or hired all the help you need — you can close your account:
- Sign in to your dashboard.
- Go to Account Settings in the sidebar.
- Scroll to Close Account.
- Follow the confirmation steps.
What happens when you close:
- All active listings are taken down within 24 hours.
- Your applicant inbox is preserved for 90 days in case you need to reach back out.
- Your billing records and invoices are preserved indefinitely (regulatory requirement).
- Unused listing credits are forfeited — there are no refunds for unused balances on closed accounts.
Pausing instead of closing
If you might hire again in the future (next season, next year), it's better to pause than close. Just take down active listings and let your account sit idle. Credits never expire, so they'll be waiting when you need them.
Reopening a closed account
Closed accounts can be reactivated within 30 days by signing in with your old email and following the prompts. After 30 days, your account data is permanently archived and you'll need to create a new employer profile.
Need a real person?
If you're closing because something went wrong — billing issue, frustrating experience, a feature we're missing — please contact us first. We'd rather fix it than lose you, and we read every cancellation reason.
