Community Guidelines

The WorkCampConnect Community Forum is a shared space for work campers to connect, learn, and support each other. To keep it welcoming for everyone, we ask all members to follow these guidelines.

Be Respectful

Treat every member the way you’d want to be treated. Disagreements are fine — personal attacks, name-calling, and hostile language are not. Remember that there’s a real person behind every post.

Stay on Topic

Post in the board that best fits your topic. Off-topic posts may be moved by moderators to the appropriate board. If you’re not sure where something belongs, the General Discussion board is usually a safe bet.

No Spam or Self-Promotion

The forum is not a place for advertising, affiliate links, or repeated self-promotion. Sharing a genuinely helpful resource is fine — but if your main goal is promoting a product or service, it will be removed.

No Harassment or Discrimination

Harassment, bullying, threats, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes targeting members based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal characteristic.

Protect Privacy

Do not share other members’ personal information (real names, locations, contact info) without their explicit consent. Respect everyone’s right to privacy.

Keep It Legal

Do not post content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or violates intellectual property rights. This includes pirated content, copyrighted material, and anything that could put members at legal risk.

How We Moderate

Our moderation team reviews reported content and monitors the forum regularly. When a guideline is violated:

  1. First offense — The post may be edited or removed, and you’ll receive a friendly warning.
  2. Repeated violations — A formal warning will be issued to your account.
  3. Serious or ongoing violations — Your forum account may be temporarily or permanently suspended.

How to Report a Post

If you see something that violates these guidelines:

  1. Click the Report link on the offending post.
  2. Briefly describe why you’re reporting it.
  3. Submit the report — a moderator will review it promptly.

You can also contact support directly if you have concerns about forum behavior.

Thank you for helping make the WorkCampConnect community a great place for everyone.
