Emily Lake Conservancy

British Columbia

Emily Lake Conservancy was established as part of government’s land use decision in the central coast planning area. This conservancy protects a hanging valley lake that drains into Emily Bay. This conservancy is significant for sockeye conservation, as the Heiltsuk First Nation operates a sockeye salmon hatchery at the outlet of Emily Lake.
