Nlháxten/Cerise Creek Conservancy
British Columbia
Nlháxten/Cerise Creek Conservancy was established as part of the Sea to Sky Land and Resource Management Plan. The conservancy conserves sites of ecological and cultural importance and is a popular destination for backcountry recreation. The area protected by this conservancy is important to local First Nations who historically used the area for cultural, ceremonial and spiritual practices. Culturally modified trees and rock art are present in the area.
