Thorsen Creek Conservancy was established as part of government’s land use decision in the Central Coast planning area. Thorsen Creek is a moderate-sized tributary to the lower Bella Coola River and contains valuable fish habitat.Thorsen Creek Conservancy protects one of the largest and most significant collections of petroglyphs on the coast and is of significant cultural heritage value to the Nuxalk First Nation.
