Tweedsmuir Park

Aside from offering some of the most spectacular scenery in North America, Tweedsmuir is a magnet for outdoor recreation enthusiasts. Favourite activities of visitors include fishing, hiking, horseback riding, camping and canoeing the Turner Lake Chain. Winter recreation is also popular at Tweedsmuir Park as well as the notable Shield volcanoes and Hunlen Falls.The Atnarko and Bella Coola Valleys provide critical habitat for bears. It is important to be bear aware when visiting. Areas of the park are open to hunting during allotted seasons. The park and surrounding areas have been used by the Nuxalk and Carrier First Nations for thousands of years.The park is managed as two sections, Tweedsmuir Park (South) and Tweedsmuir Park (North).
