What is the WorkCamp Marketplace?
The WorkCamp Marketplace is a separate site at marketplace.workcampconnect.com built specifically for the WorkCampConnect community. It's where members buy, sell, and trade RV gear, camping equipment, tools, electronics, vehicles, and just about anything else useful to a work camper or full-time RVer.
Think of it as a member-only classifieds board — but instead of competing with millions of strangers on a public site, you're dealing with people who actually understand the lifestyle. Need a used inverter for your fifth-wheel? Looking to offload a generator before you change rigs? Want to find a deal on a satellite dish from someone who already upgraded? That's what the marketplace is for.
Who Can Use It
Both Base Camp (free) and Full Hookup members can browse and post listings on the marketplace. There's no separate marketplace fee for basic listings — your WCC membership gets you in.
You don't need to create a separate account. The marketplace uses the same login as your main WorkCampConnect account, so your username, profile photo, and member status carry over automatically.
How to Sign In
- Go to marketplace.workcampconnect.com in any browser.
- Click Sign In in the top-right corner.
- Enter the same username (or email) and password you use on the main WCC site.
- You'll land on the marketplace home page, signed in and ready to browse or post.
If you're already signed in to the main WorkCampConnect site, the marketplace will recognize your session in most cases — you may not even need to log in again.
What You'll Find on the Marketplace
Categories
Listings are organized into categories so you can quickly browse what you're looking for:
- RVs & Trailers — Travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes, toy haulers, pop-ups, truck campers
- RV Parts & Accessories — Awnings, slide toppers, leveling jacks, sewer hoses, hitches, holding tanks
- Camping Gear — Tents, sleeping bags, camp chairs, coolers, cookware, lanterns
- Tools & Equipment — Generators, power tools, hand tools, ladders, welders
- Vehicles & Towing — Tow vehicles, dinghy/toad cars, hitches, brake controllers, sway bars
- Electronics — Solar panels, inverters, batteries, satellite gear, cell boosters, Starlink kits
- Plus several other niche categories for outdoor gear, books, and miscellaneous items
From the marketplace home page, you can click any category card to browse just the listings in that section.
Searching and Filtering
The search bar at the top of every page lets you search by keyword across all listings. You can also narrow results by category, location (state), price range, and condition (new, like new, good, fair). The "Recently Added" section on the home page shows the newest listings sitewide so you can keep tabs on what's just been posted.
Listing Details
Every listing has its own page showing the title, photos, full description, asking price, location, condition, and the seller's profile information. From the listing page you can:
- Send the seller a message through the built-in marketplace messaging system
- Make an offer below the asking price
- Save the listing to come back to it later
- Share the listing link with someone else
- Report the listing if you spot something off about it
Browsing Safely
The marketplace is a member community, but it's still a peer-to-peer marketplace, so the same common-sense rules apply as anywhere you buy or sell from strangers:
- Use the in-app messaging. Don't immediately move conversations off-site to text or email. The marketplace messaging keeps a record of the conversation in case there's a dispute.
- Inspect before paying. If you can meet in person, do it. Look the item over, plug it in, test it, ask questions.
- Meet in public places. A campground office, a Walmart parking lot, a truck stop — somewhere with people around. Never go alone to a remote spot to meet a stranger.
- Never wire money. Wire transfers are non-refundable. If a seller insists on a wire, walk away.
- Be wary of "too good to be true" deals. Brand-new Class A motorhomes for $5,000 don't exist. Scammers count on emotional decisions.
- Read the seller's reviews. Members build reputation over time through reviews and star ratings — check them before committing to a deal.
For more detail on safe trading, the marketplace has its own Safety Tips page linked from the marketplace footer.
What You Can't List
Some items are off-limits regardless of how legitimate they might seem. The marketplace has a full Prohibited Items page in the footer with the complete rules, but the short version: no firearms or ammunition, no live animals, no recalled or unsafe products, no counterfeits, no stolen goods, and nothing illegal under federal or state law.
Listings that violate the rules will be removed and the seller may lose access to the marketplace.
Help, Privacy, and Support
The marketplace has its own Help Center linked from the marketplace footer with articles on every part of the platform. It also has its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service separate from the main WorkCampConnect legal pages — you'll find both linked from the marketplace footer.
For questions about anything marketplace-related, the support email is [email protected].
Ready to Get Started?
The fastest way to learn the marketplace is to use it. Sign in, browse a few categories, and watch what other members are listing. When you're ready to post your first item, see our companion article on how to post a listing — it walks through every field and has tips for writing a description that actually sells.
Welcome to the marketplace.
