Common Issues & Solutions

If something isn’t working as expected, check the solutions below. Most issues can be resolved quickly with these steps.

I can’t log in

  • Double-check that you’re using the correct email address and password.
  • Passwords are case-sensitive — make sure Caps Lock is off.
  • Try the Forgot Password link on the login page to reset your password.
  • Make sure your email has been verified. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the verification email. You can resend the verification email if needed.
  • Clear your browser cookies and try again.

I never received the verification email

  • Check your spam/junk folder — the email may have been filtered.
  • Make sure you entered the correct email address during registration.
  • Visit the resend verification email page to request a new link.
  • If you still don’t receive it after a few minutes, contact support and we’ll verify your account manually.

Pages are loading slowly

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies.
  • Try a different browser or device.
  • Close other tabs to free up browser memory.
  • Check your internet connection speed.

I can’t download a file from the portal

  • Downloads require a Full Hookup membership. If you’re on Base Camp, you’ll need to upgrade.
  • Make sure your browser isn’t blocking pop-ups or downloads.
  • Try right-clicking the download button and choosing “Save link as”.

The Member Map is blank or not loading

  • Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser.
  • Try clearing your cache and reloading the page.
  • If you’re trying to set your location and the map won’t detect it, make sure you’ve allowed location access when your browser prompted you.
  • Try a different browser — some ad blockers can interfere with map loading.

I can’t log into the forum

  • Your forum account uses the same credentials as your WorkCampConnect account.
  • Try logging out of the forum completely and logging back in.
  • Clear your browser cookies for the forum site.
  • If you continue to have trouble, contact support.

I’m seeing an error page

  • 403 (Forbidden) — You don’t have permission to view this page. This usually means the content requires a different membership level or you need to log in.
  • 404 (Not Found) — The page doesn’t exist. Check the URL for typos, or use the navigation to find what you’re looking for.
  • 500 (Server Error) — Something went wrong on our end. Try refreshing the page. If the error persists, contact support.

Checkout page isn’t loading

  • Make sure JavaScript is enabled and your browser is up to date.
  • Disable any ad blockers or browser extensions that might interfere with the payment form.
  • Try a different browser or device.
  • If the issue continues, contact support so we can help you complete your upgrade.

How to Clear Your Browser Cache

  1. Chrome: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Browsing Data → select Cached images and files → Clear data.
  2. Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data.
  3. Safari: Safari menu → Clear History → select time range → Clear History.
  4. Edge: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Browsing Data → select Cached images and files → Clear now.

If none of these steps resolve your issue, please submit a support ticket with details about what’s happening and we’ll investigate.
