The Job Readiness Center (JRC) is a comprehensive learning hub built to help you prepare for work camping careers. It covers 22 job categories — from campground hosting and park operations to maintenance, hospitality, outdoor recreation, and more.
What's Inside
- Guide Pages — In-depth articles about each job category, what to expect, skills needed, and how to get started.
- Checklists — Step-by-step readiness checklists you can track your progress on. Check off items as you complete them.
- Certifications — Information about relevant certifications for each category, including which ones are required vs. recommended.
- External Resources — Curated links to official certification bodies, training programs, and helpful websites.
Access by Plan
- Full Hookup members get unlimited, permanent access to all JRC content including interactive checklists.
- Base Camp (free) members get a 30-day full-access trial starting from their first JRC visit. After the trial, you can still browse all guide pages and content in read-only mode, but checklists will be locked. Your checklist progress is saved permanently — it'll be right where you left off if you upgrade.
How to Access
Click Job Readiness in the main navigation menu. You'll see the category grid — click any category to explore its guides, checklists, and certifications.
