What is My Jobs?
My Jobs is your personal job tracking system on WorkCampConnect. Every job listing — both on the job board and on individual job detail pages — has three interactive buttons that let you organize and track the jobs you care about:
- Bookmark (bookmark icon, turns blue) — Save a job for later. Use this when you see an interesting listing and want to come back to it.
- Favorite (heart icon, turns red) — Mark a job you really like. Use this for your top picks — the jobs you're most excited about.
- Applied (star icon, turns gold) — Mark a job you've applied for. Since you apply through the employer's own website or email, this lets you keep a personal record of where you've applied.
All three actions are unlimited for every member — Base Camp and Full Hookup alike. There's no cap on how many jobs you can save, favorite, or track.
How to Use the Buttons
On the Job Board
Every job card on the Job Board has a row of three small icons at the bottom. Click any icon to toggle it on or off. The icon will fill with color when active:
- Bookmark icon fills blue
- Heart icon fills red
- Star icon fills gold
You can quickly bookmark or favorite multiple jobs while browsing without opening each one.
On a Job Detail Page
When you open a job listing, you'll see three larger labeled buttons — "Save", "Favorite", and "Applied" — in the header area below the job badges. These work the same way: click to toggle on, click again to toggle off.
Viewing Your Saved Jobs
Go to My Jobs in your Dashboard to see everything you've saved. The page has three tabs:
- Saved — All your bookmarked jobs
- Favorites — Jobs you've marked with the heart icon
- Applied — Jobs you've marked as applied
Each tab shows a count badge so you can see at a glance how many jobs are in each category.
Tracking Your Applications
The Applied tab has a special feature: application notes. After marking a job as applied, you can add notes to track details about your application. Click the notepad icon (📝) on any applied job to open the notes editor.
Use notes to record things like:
- The date you applied
- Who you spoke with or emailed
- Application reference numbers
- Interview dates or follow-up reminders
- Any other details you want to remember
Notes can be up to 1,000 characters and can be edited at any time.
Expired Jobs
If a job you saved, favorited, or applied to expires or is removed, it will still appear in your My Jobs list but will be grayed out with an "Expired" badge. This way you don't lose track of jobs you've applied to even after the listing closes.
Removing Jobs from Your List
To remove a job from any tab, click the trash icon (🗑) on that job's card. You'll be asked to confirm before it's removed. If you remove a bookmarked job, it doesn't affect your favorites or applied status for that same job — the three actions are independent.
My Jobs vs. Job Alerts
These are two separate features that work together:
- My Jobs = Your personal collection of individual jobs you've interacted with (bookmarked, favorited, or applied to)
- Job Alerts = Automated saved searches that find and notify you about new jobs matching your criteria
Use Job Alerts to discover new opportunities, then use My Jobs to organize the ones you care about most.
