What is WorkCampConnect?
WorkCampConnect is a community platform built for work campers, RVers, and nomads. It brings together America’s largest work camping job board, community discussions, an interactive member map, downloadable resources, and more — all in one place designed specifically for the work camping lifestyle.
Is registration free?
Yes! Creating an account is completely free. The free Base Camp plan gives you access to general forum boards, the ability to browse the map, portal, and job board, and access to the Help Center. You can upgrade to Full Hookup at any time for the full experience.
Is there a free trial?
New members get a 7-day free trial of Full Hookup features when they register. During the trial, you can explore everything — unlimited job views, map pin placement, portal downloads, exclusive forum boards, and more. When the trial ends, you can subscribe to keep Full Hookup or continue on the free Base Camp plan with no obligation.
What’s the difference between Base Camp and Full Hookup?
Base Camp (Free) gives you access to general forum discussions, map and portal browsing, limited job views (3 per day), and the Help Center.
Full Hookup (Paid) unlocks everything: exclusive forum boards, full map interaction with your own pin, POI layers and route planning, unlimited job views and premium listings, full portal access with downloads and bookmarks, priority support, and more. What is Trail Guide?
Trail Guide is our AI-powered assistant in the Help Center. It can answer questions about the platform, work camping tips, and more. If Trail Guide can’t answer your question, it will direct you to submit a support ticket for personalized help.
How do I navigate the dashboard?
After logging in, your dashboard shows quick-access cards for key features: Job Board, Community Forum, Member Map, Download Portal, Support, and more. The sidebar menu lets you navigate to any section. See Navigating Your Dashboard for a full walkthrough.
Do I need to pay to use the forum?
No. Base Camp members have free access to general discussion boards on the forum. Full Hookup members get additional access to exclusive, member-only boards.
Can I change my username?
No. Your username is permanent and cannot be changed after registration. This is why we encourage you to choose carefully during signup. If you need to update how your name appears on your profile, you can edit your display name from My Account > Profile. For full details, see Username & Display Name Rules.
Where do I get help?
You’re in the right place! The Help Center has articles covering every part of the platform. Use the search bar at the top to find answers quickly, or browse by category. You can also ask Trail Guide (our AI assistant) for instant answers. If you can’t find what you need, contact support and we’ll help you directly.
I registered but never got a verification email. What do I do?
Check your spam/junk folder first. If it’s not there, visit the resend verification email page to request a new link. If you’re still stuck, contact support and we’ll verify your account manually.
