You Can Still Log In Before You Verify
If you cannot find your verification email — even after checking your spam folder — you can still log in to WorkCampConnect and explore the platform. You will see a gold verification banner at the top of every page reminding you to verify, with three buttons:
- Resend Email — sends you a fresh verification email immediately
- Text Me a Code — sends a 6-digit verification code to your phone via SMS instead of email
- Get Help — links to our support contact form
The SMS option works exactly the same as the email option — once you verify either way, your account is activated and your Base Camp membership begins.
What You Can Do Before Verifying
While unverified, you have limited but real access to the platform:
- Browse your dashboard and complete your profile
- Explore the Job Readiness Center articles and tools
- Use Site Scout to look up campgrounds
- Run speed tests and view your speed test history
- Read forum threads (you cannot post or reply yet)
- Browse public job listings
What's Locked Until You Verify
Some features are gated until verification is complete. If you try to access one, you will be redirected to a friendly verification page with the same Resend Email and Text Me a Code buttons. The gated features are:
- Member Map (browsing other members' locations)
- Resource Portal (downloadable guides and PDFs)
- WorkCamp Marketplace (buying and selling)
- Posting and replying in the forum
- Account settings, billing, and saved items
Verification Reminders
We send automatic reminder emails:
- 48 hours after registration — first reminder
- 96 hours after registration — second and final reminder
You can also resend a verification at any time from the Resend Verification page or directly from the verification banner inside the platform.
What Happens After 15 Days?
If you do not verify your email within 15 days of registering, your account is automatically marked as expired. This means:
- You can no longer log in to the platform
- Your account data is kept on file briefly so you can re-register with the same email
- No additional personal information is stored beyond your original registration details
Can I Re-Register After My Account Expires?
Yes. Simply go to the registration page and sign up again using the same email address. Your old expired account will be reactivated with a fresh 7-day trial. You will need to verify your email (or use SMS) again.
My Verification Link Expired
Email verification links are valid for 24 hours. If your link has expired, visit the Resend Verification Email page to get a fresh one — or use the SMS option which generates a new code each time.
Still Having Trouble?
If you cannot verify by either email or SMS, please contact our support team and we will help you sort it out.
