Signing Up as a Couple
WorkCampConnect is built for the way RVers actually travel — which, a lot of the time, means traveling as a couple. The Couple account type lets you sign up once, list both first names, and share a single membership. Both of you show up everywhere in the community.
What You Get With a Couple Account
- One membership, two names. Both first names appear on your profile, your map pin, your forum posts (as "John & Jane"), and in emails we send.
- One price. You pay the same $8.95/month or $89.50/year as a solo member — couples are not billed twice.
- One set of tools. Shared resume, shared saved jobs, shared forum account, shared favorites. Either of you can use the account.
- Per-person verification (optional). You can add your partner's own email address later and they'll get their own verification link. This is optional — the main account email is all that's required.
How to Sign Up as a Couple
Step 1 — Choose "Couple" on the registration start page
Visit workcampconnect.com/register. You'll see three tier options: Solo, Couple, and Crew / Family. Click Couple.
Step 2 — Enter both first names plus a shared last name
The form asks for Your first name, Partner's first name, and a shared last name. If you have different last names, enter the one you want used in the account greeting — you can always adjust display details later.
Step 3 — Pick one username, one email, one phone, one password
The couple account has one login. Choose a username you both like — it appears as your shared forum handle. See Username & Display Name Rules for what's allowed.
Step 4 — Verify by text message
Same as any WorkCampConnect account: we send a 6-digit code by text to verify your phone. You'll also get a verification email from [email protected]. Either works.
Step 5 — You're in, and your 7-day Full Hookup trial begins
Once you verify, your couple account is active and you're on a 7-day Full Hookup free trial — no credit card required. Both names display everywhere immediately.
Adding Your Partner's Own Email Later (Optional)
Some couples want both people to get their own emails (interview confirmations sent to one spouse, job alerts cc'd to both, etc.). From your dashboard:
- Go to Dashboard → Account → My Household
- Click your partner's row in the Adults section
- Click Add email
- Your partner will receive a verification link at that address
This does not create a second login — the couple account still has one set of credentials. It just gives your partner their own verified contact email.
Switching Back to Solo (or Up to Crew)
Life changes. From your household settings you can convert a Couple account to Solo or to Crew / Family at any time. Your username, membership, forum history, and saved items all stay intact — only the profile shape changes. See Managing Your Household for the step-by-step.
